Perhaps you don’t believe you can be a “podcaster”, or maybe you have been avoiding starting and need a good kick up the butt to put processes in place so that you can get your show out there and reach your audience. If this is you, you are in the right place!
Who is Jayne’s PodLaunch suited for?
If you’re like many of my clients then you can probably see yourself in one of these types of people below:
You know that you want to be podcasting but for some reason you keep putting off starting or can't seem to find the time for it. Three years have gone by and your podcast is still not out yet!
You have been trying to do it yourself, researching platforms and microphones but just end up more confused than when you started and then end up doing nothing and feeling frustrated.
You are not interested in the tech side of podcasting, it makes you want to run screaming from the room. You just want to get straight to the recording and sharing your stories with your audience.
You want a “done for you service” to enable you to delegate this from the start so you can continue to build your business and connect with your community in a meaningful way.
Join the Fast Growing Podcast World
Starting a podcast is almost always a good idea. Starting one alone is not.
Considering podcasting is one of the fastest-growing ways to consume long-form content, it might be a good idea to start thinking about what a podcast could do for your business and image. But don't get stuck in the "Procrastinator" role, unable to make decisions to move forward because you are overwhelmed with the huge amount of information out there.
Control Your Time and Money Investment
Podcasting doesn’t have to be expensive and time-consuming or go on forever.
Perhaps you have an idea you want to get out there, something you know that people will be interested in but you are still trying to work out the best way to get the word out. You can be in control of your show, and how much time and money you spend on it. You can even do a test show or a series of 5-10 episodes. Why not experiment and see if it’s right for you?
Hold Your Ideal Clients' Attention
Podcasting gives you access to your ideal clients’ ears for long periods of time.
Did you know that 80% of podcast listeners will listen to most of or an entire episode! That is a huge chunk of your ideal client or community member’s attention that you are able to access with a podcast. People love to listen to podcasts while doing something else like commuting, cleaning or exercising. Stats here: https://www.podcastinsights.com/podcast-statistics/
Which leads us to the next point.
The longer people spend listening to you the more they like you.
It’s important for potential clients and customers to “know, like and trust” you. The longer we spend with people, the more this happens naturally. Listeners then become more open to whatever it is you have to offer. Perhaps you have written a book, you are selling seats for a workshop, or maybe you are open to accepting new clients. You can use your show to talk about what you want prospective customers to know about.
Increase Your Authority
You will build your authority as a voice in your niche.
Overcoming the challenges of starting a podcast sets you apart from others in your industry and you will be building your authority with every episode you release. Opportunities you never imagined have come to me and my fellow podcasters, so make sure you are in the club!
I am a podcast crazy business owner, coach, speaker, runner, mum, wife, friend…
I’m from New Zealand and have lived and worked in Japan for nearly 20 years. I have helped thousands of people feel less alone in their part of the world, through nearly 100 episodes of my Transformations with Jayne Podcast.
In 2018, I was a foreigner and mother of two small children, feeling very isolated living in Fukushima Prefecture. I also noticed that there were no voices out there of the women, just like me, trying to live their best lives in a challenging place like Japan.
After being told by several people I had “a voice for it”, I took my first tentative steps in my podcasting career, climbed into a small closet with my iPhone and recorded 10 episodes of what would become the Transformations with Jayne Podcast. I had no idea about the network, friendships, and business opportunities that were just waiting for me to take action.
Over the last three years of podcasting, I have made many mistakes, overcome problems, and been through two international moves that have helped me to get to where I am today. I bring not only my podcasting experience and knowledge but also my skills as a coach to help new podcasters easily get through the long to-do list for launching your own show.
But it’s not only the to-do list that is the problem. In fact, the to-do list is the easy part. I help my clients, people just like you, to go through the mindset shift to become a “podcaster” and give them the accountability to get that show out there instead of it being a dream for another year.
I cannot calculate the number of people I have helped, nor the dollar amount I have received from creating my podcast. Helping others to create their own show so they can build their business and help more people gives me so much joy.

Who is Jayne?
I hired Jayne to get my Legends Podcast up and running.
I had about 10 hours of audio that went with video interviews and in the wake of COVID, was not able to do in-person conversations with my guests, yet was itching to get back into telling people’s stories.
A podcast was the natural thing to do however I had no idea how to put a podcast together and also realised it wasn’t the best use of my time to learn and work it out when I knew someone who had done it all before.
Enter Jayne. I sent her clear instructions for what I wanted - for her to listen to all the audio - edit if needed, pull copy from previous releases, set up the podcast platform, record intros and outros and put it all together then teach me and my assistant how to do it ourselves.
Jayne was brilliant - she hit every deadline with time to spare, put everything together in super quick time, actually called me and sat with me while I recorded my intro and outro and gave real-time feedback, added those to the platform and got all my back-dated audio up and running before my release date. It was seamless, stress-free, straightforward and fun.
She made a video for us to refer to when we are uploading ourselves and we are able to do all of that ourselves now, meaning this was a sustainable purchase. If I decide to edit and refine my podcasting and process in the future, I will go to Jayne for consultation and if I ever want my podcast episodes editing down to a shorter length - I’ll go to her for that too. That was not part of our brief at this time. I know that had it not been for Jayne I would likely still be working it out or putting off getting the podcasts up but my investment in her means I am in the podcasting business!
I would highly recommend Jayne’s podcast set up service to anyone who wants to be the creator and hand over the process work to someone skilled, reliable, fast, trustworthy and experienced.
Would-be podcasters throughout Japan look to Jayne for inspiration and practical advice
So many people are held back by perfectionism and miss out on opportunities to start great things.
Jayne is different. I love how she grabs an idea and goes with it. I've seen this time and again over the years that we've been friends.
I was especially impressed when she launched her podcast back in 2018. And now would-be podcasters throughout Japan look to Jayne for inspiration and practical advice.
If you're thinking about starting a podcast, keep in mind that every day that you delay, you're doing a disservice to your listeners who are waiting to hear from you!
So get in touch with Jayne to help you get your word out and do great things!
You’re in Good Hands
Jayne and I have worked together and supported each other professionally for several years and I have seen time and time again the skills Jayne brings to every pursuit or project.
Jayne is highly disciplined and holds herself to a high standard which means she’s extremely reliable. If she sets a goal or says something will be done, you know it will be. If you desire the same kind of rigorous approach in your business or for your podcast Jayne will gently guide you in the right direction. If you need someone practical and task-oriented to ground your creative and whimsical ideas then Jayne is who you need on your team. She’s a very kind taskmaster (smile) and honestly sometimes we all need someone to crack the whip. Trust me, you need this, even if your instinct is to resist it.
One of the other secrets to success that I have observed in Jayne is her ability to continually build her community. We all meet new people all the time but Jayne actively gets to know her people and then calls on them when she needs to (and vice versa) which means when you work with Jayne you tap into her vast network. Having access to that is probably the one thing that will set you apart and it’s something that cannot be bought.
If I had to pick a word to describe Jayne it would be hard to pick just one. She’s generous, honest, resilient and determined. Combined with her hands-on experience with podcasting and supporting women you have a recipe for success. You’re in good hands.
Chief Relationship Officer, TBSJ and Podcaster
I spoke to Jayne, and next thing you know I had published my first episode...
When I was thinking about starting a podcast I did just that: lots and lots of thinking! I also listened to podcasts about podcasting and read blogs on the topic. They all left me confused. I felt like I had so many decisions to make. And each expert seemed to recommend something different...
Then I spoke to Jayne, and the next thing you know I had published my first episode. And it was all so much easier after that! Jayne was kind and helpful, and also very clear. She had an amazing way of bringing me back to the most straightforward, doable way forward.
I honestly don’t think I would have ever gotten around to figuring it out on my own! The sheer volume of information was too overwhelming and made it seem like I needed to spend months preparing. In reality, the time between speaking to Jayne and launching was remarkably short: I think it might have been less than a week!
What were you struggling with that made you want to seek help with your podcast/show?
I had no idea where to start. What tools did I need? What platforms to use? How to engage with release forms, distribution....My list was endless. So I ended up not doing anything as I could not face the learning curve.
How was Jayne to work with? How did Jayne help you?
Jayne was absolutely brilliant. She made it all so easy and then sat down with me virtually when it was not. She really supported me to stop procrastination and perfectionism getting in the way. Jayne guided me with a calm and gentle hand to just get stuff done. She gave feedback and continued to push me to make sure the podcast was launched. She helped create a suite of templates and shared training for my VA. I can now focus on finding guests as well as recording rather than the minutiae of process.
What would you say to other potential podcasters considering working with Jayne?
Go for it! Great investment if you want to get your podcast launched. There is no need for you to waste time on researching tools and process, Jayne will make it happen for you!

What technology do I need to get started?
These days you can get started with a smartphone and a pair of headphones with a microphone. For our consultations, you will need a stable internet connection. This is particularly important for doing recordings together and for you for recording episodes either solo or with guests in the future. Purchasing a microphone can be an excellent investment but there is no need to rush into that just yet! As part of the setup process, I may recommend a free platform or a paid one for your podcast, depending on your goals.
How do I become a “podcaster”?
Standing on the outside looking in, it always seems harder, and more glamorous than it is on the inside, I can assure you. Part of the work I do with you is helping you find that podcaster inside of you who is just waiting to step up and tell your story or give a voice to the people that matter to you. Soon you too will be podcasting and interviewing with confidence.
Couldn’t I do this myself?
You could. It will cost you a lot of lost time and efficiency to launch your show. By taking advantage of my knowledge, skills and accountability, your show will be a reality in no time. You’ll also benefit by becoming one of the network of shows that Jayne has helped produce that supports each other.
What if I am unhappy with the service I receive and I want a refund?
I give a 48 hour “cooling off period”, once you have signed the contract in which you can ask for a refund and cancel our agreement to work together. However given the nature of my service, I do not give refunds once we have commenced our consultation or work together. I will make every effort to provide the services listed in our contract. If you are unhappy with anything, I appreciate you letting me know so I can make it right. Refunds will only be given in the case where I am unable to provide the services in our agreement due to illness or unforeseen circumstances.
How much time do you require from me for the “Done for You" service?
In addition to our consultation, I will require some online meetings with you where we will create things together. This might be a podcast description or recording an intro or outro. It’s important for the podcast to reflect the real you, so I guide you through this process.
How can I pay?
I accept credit cards and Paypal. Bank transfer is available for those in Japan.
I’m overseas, do I have to pay Japanese consumption tax?
No, just let Jayne know which country you are in and you will be invoiced without having to pay the tax.
